I'd need the Hardware Maintenance Disk (HMD) for my IBM ThinkPad. Where to find it ?

In most IBM ThinkPad and NetVista manuals a Hardware Maintenance Diskette is mentioned to resolve certain problems.
When accessing IBM's site there's only a statement saying:
"ThinkPad hardware maintenance diskette version 1.62
NOTE: Access to the Authorized Servicer Web site required to download the file."

You might try several things on IBM's site to locate the diskette but won't have any luck.
Instead you can download these disk images directly at IBM's FTP server:

ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/ta_support/maint150.exe
ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/ta_support/maint160.exe
A revision v1.62 seems to exist but is not available there.
